Welcome to Ela-Gallery. If you are wondering what kind of a name we have selected for our site, we are not surprised. Other than a few million people in India nobody knows what ela means. "Ela" is a Sanskrit word which means Earth. We like to travel and visit beautiful places around the world. So we thought Ela-Gallery would be apt to describe our site.


After a memorable trip to Moorea(French Polynesia) in 2003, we came back with not so great pictures from a point and shoot film camera. We didn't have any great photographs to share with family or friends. That's when we decided to upgrade our camera and go digital. We started with the Canon 20D and the kit lens and are slowly building on our skills as well as equipment. Work and a toddler keep us busy. So progress is slow...

2006: Mono Lake State Reserve
2005: Death Valley NP, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Las Vegas
2004: Australia, New Zealand
